Overview
What Hardfloor is, who it is for, and the one rule that makes its coins different.
What Hardfloor is
Hardfloor is a launchpad for coins on Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663), an Arbitrum Orbit layer 2. Anyone can launch a coin, and each coin trades in its own Uniswap v4 pool run by a Hardfloor hook.
The hook is where the difference lives. Every Hardfloor coin has a floor price: the money in its reserve divided by the coins in circulation, so the reserve can always buy coins back at that price. Part of every trade goes into the reserve, so the floor rises as the coin trades, and the contract never lets it go down.
Who it is for
- Traders who want to know how low a coin can trade before they buy it. The floor is public, anyone can see the money behind it, and unlocked coins on Robinhood Chain can be sold at it at any moment.
- Coin creators who want a launch holders can take seriously. There is no creator allocation to dump, the first buy goes into the floor, and creators earn 0.30% of every trade on their coin.
- Holders who want cash without selling. Loans at the floor charge 0% interest and have no liquidation price (phase 2).
What makes a coin different
On an ordinary launchpad, nothing limits how far a coin's price can fall once buyers leave. A Hardfloor coin follows one rule:
Buys add backing for new coins at the current floor. Sales at the floor are paid from the reserve. Fees only ever add to it. So the reserve can always pay the floor price for the coins in circulation, and the floor never goes down. It is only as high as the money in the reserve, though: right after launch that money is small, and so is the floor.
The floor limits how low a coin can trade. It does not promise that the price goes up. The floor covers the full rule with a worked example, and How it works follows a coin from launch to borrowing.
Current status
Hardfloor is in beta on Robinhood Chain. The core contracts are live after an internal security review, and an external audit is still to come. The $FLOOR token has not launched. The plan runs in four phases, starting with the core contracts, an external audit and a capped beta. See the roadmap.
$FLOOR has not launched
Features from later phases are labeled with their phase throughout these docs. Hardfloor is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Robinhood Markets. Nothing here is financial advice.
