Glossary

Short definitions of the terms used across these docs.

Floor terms

Floor price

The lowest price a coin can trade at in its Hardfloor pool: floor reserve ÷ circulating supply. It is enforced by the contract and never goes down. See The floor.

Floor reserve

The funds behind a coin's floor, plus any loans owed back to it (phase 2). The floor price is this amount divided by the coins in circulation, so coins can always be sold into it at that price. Fees and Floor Wars payouts only ever add to it.

Circulating supply

Every coin held outside the pool, including coins locked as loan collateral (phase 2) or in the bridge adapter (phase 3). Burned coins are not counted.

Trading terms

Pool

The Uniswap v4 pool where a coin trades on Robinhood Chain. Each coin has its own.

Hook

A contract that a Uniswap v4 pool calls at set points, such as around each swap. The Hardfloor hook runs each coin's pool and applies the floor rule on every swap.

Minimum-out

The least you will accept from a trade. If the price moves past it before the trade executes, the trade reverts.

Launch terms

Bonding

The point where 80% of a coin's supply has sold. By then half of everything buyers paid is in the floor reserve and half is in the pool. Nothing moves at bonding: the coin is marked as bonded.

Anti-snipe fee

A fee on top of the trading fee, on buys and sells: 30% in a coin's first minute, 20% in the second and 10% in the third. All of it goes to the Floor Wars pot. The creator's first buy does not pay it.

First buy

The creator's buy in the launch transaction: at least about $10 in ETH and at most 5% of the supply. It pays the 1.25% trading fee and no anti-snipe fee.

Loans, rewards and chains

Origination fee

The 2% fee charged up front on a loan (phase 2): 1% to the protocol and 1% to that coin's floor.

$FLOOR

The Hardfloor token. When a loan is not repaid, its locked coins are sold at the end of the term, and everything the sale brings in above the loan buys $FLOOR on the market and burns it (phase 2). $FLOOR has not launched. See Borrowing.

OFT

Omnichain Fungible Token, LayerZero's standard for a token that exists on several chains. In phase 3, an OFT adapter on Robinhood Chain locks coins, and the same coin is minted on other chains.

Floor Wars pot

The weekly pot filled by 0.10% of all volume, paid into the floors of the three winning coins at up to 50%, 30% and 20% (phase 2). See Floor Wars.
